MyStreamCount

Why do music professionals use artist.tools over MyStreamCount?

🤖 Are these streams real?

MyStreamCount is a clean free counter. Daily totals, historical charts, no signup.

A count does not tell you if the streams are safe. One botted playlist can inflate the number and get the track pulled.

artist.tools shows the same stream count, then flags risky playlists on that track and the artist.

🔎 Where the streams came from

MyStreamCount stops at the chart. You can see the line go up. You cannot see which playlist added you.

On artist.tools, open the track and get the placement list: followers, last updated, listener estimate, and a quality flag.

  • Sort placements by quality, not just follower count.

  • Watch Activity for adds and drops after a campaign.

  • Skip pitching playlists that already look botted.

📧 What to do next

A stream counter has no outreach path. After you check a song, you still have to find curators somewhere else.

Artist Access ($15) unlocks emails, Instagram, and submission links on playlists that actually have them. Free still shows SubmitLink.

📈 Better next step

If you only need a daily count, MyStreamCount is fine and free.

If you need to know whether the streams are real and who to pitch, start on artist.tools. Free scan, upgrade to Artist when you want emails and bot alerts.
